This year’s European Researchers’ Night is taking place on the 27th of September 2024. Celebrating science across Europe in the largest science outreach event, 58 projects will run events in 25 countries. In Cyprus, Research and Innovation Foundation will organise and host the local events at the premises of the Cyprus State Fair in Nicosia. The event is titled “European Researchers’ Night 2024: MISSION POSSIBLE”, having once again as a main theme the five EU Missions, bold actions with ambitious yet achievable goals, aiming to address some of the greatest challenges facing our society:
- Adaptation to Climate Change
- Cancer
- Healthy Ocean and Waters
- Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities and
- Healthy Soils and Food
SEMEDFIRE’s co-ordinator EUC–CERIDES, will participate once again in the activities of the European Researchers’ Night in Nicosia. Researchers and academic personnel will present the research center’s work in the fields of Occupational Safety & Health, Risk Management, Crisis Management, Fire research. The center’s booth will also host a number of European projects in which EUC-CERIDES is currently participating as a coordinator, expert partner or academic institution.
SEMEDFIRE, being the first Horizon Twinning project awarded to EUC-CERIDES, and currently in its peak stage of implementation, will be presented to the visitors of the exhibition. The public will have the opportunity to learn about the activities and results of the project during the first twenty months. Additionally, as the project enters its third year with an array of events scheduled for the coming months, information will be provided for the numerous exchange visits, training, seminars and field exercises coming up.
