The meeting took place under the scope of Work Package 6 preparation for the upcoming SEMEDFIRE events. Staff Exchange Twinning Visits, Hands-on Training, and one Field Exercise are scheduled between October 2024 and April 2025. Four consecutive exchange trips in Cyprus (Nicosia and Larnaca) and France (Paris, Aix-en-Provence, and Nimes) are planned according to the project’s work schedule.
The representatives of Nimes Metropole and University of Nimes discussed the agendas of the upcoming events, foreseeing a fruitful collaboration during the Work Package 6 implementation.
The contribution of the academic community in the knowledge exchange and training events is significant and valuable. Under this scope, Advanced project partners are combining their technical and practical expertise, with additional contributions from selected external experts in the represented countries. Academic organisations, municipalities, emergency services, and private organisations are invited to participate in the events of the project and contribute to the knowledge exchange efforts.
